Rating: - Why did they stop making these Players? By Brian T. Zielke (WI USA) This player would play anything. The ease of changing aspect ratio is second to none. Sorry to see them go to the P9. The P9 works the same but forgets the settings if turned off and that can be a pain. Rating: - A mind of its own... By J. Yates (Branson, MO) I bought this DVD player so it would \"talk\" to my new Samsung TV. The first thing I noticed was how slow it loads. Then I discovered how bad the remote was. It has to be aimed directly at the unit and fairly close to work and this was with fresh batteries. The TV remote works much better controlling both the TV and DVD. Then, after a month or so, the DVD wouldn\'t turn on. I unplug it, wait a few seconds and plug it back in and it works for another week or so. THEN...a new problem... it won\'t turn OFF. I kill the TV, turn off the DVD and about 10 seconds later, the DVD turns itself back on and then, I guess, the player will turn the TV back on. Also, it likes to skip ahead several minutes. We have to go back and find our place. I\'d say pass on this one. Rating: - Ok player By J. Wicks (Indiana) Player is loud after loading a dvd. Slow start up and sometimes doesn\'t work at all or shut off. I have two of them. One works ok and the other works fine. Rating: - Just stopped playing. By Effie Harrison (Hewitt, Texas) This player just stopped playing after about two years, I didn\'t use it that much for it to be woren out. I \'ve got older players and they still work fine. I got this brand to match my new TV. I will never buy another one of it\'s kind. Rating: - Samsung DVD player & Samsung TV don\'t go well By S. Mallu (New Jersey, USA) I have Samsung 32\" LCD TV. While purchasing DVD my obvious choice was to pick up a Samsung DVD player. I regret that idea, each time you play a DVD one of the following happen
1. image quality is lost..I get black n white(inspite of using HDMI cable) 2. Picture either hangs or repeats itself in quick succession 3. The TV controls on the DVD remote don\'t work.
Annoyed to see so many problems. Will exchange this with a Sony dvd player at best buy.
I have great impression about Samsung LCD TV and equal hate for Samsung DVD player. Read Full Customer Reviews | |
